Gisou Bee Season '21
As the days are becoming longer and warmer, the Mirsalehi Honey Bees are waking up from hibernation and getting ready to get to work. A lot happens both in and outside of the hive during this time of year and this season, we’re inviting you to be a part of Gisou’s Bee Season 2021!
We will be sharing a series of exciting initiatives with the community to encourage you all to celebrate bee season, get involved and raise awareness about the importance of bees for our ecosystem.
Mirsalehi Bees & Gisou's hero ingredients
The Mirsalehi honey bees are at the core of who we are and what we do here at Gisou. Without them, our hero ingredients - Mirsalehi Honey and Propolis - wouldn’t exist. Bees are the most important pollinators in the world which make them fundamental to the health of our natural ecosystem.
The bees pollinate a huge percentage of food crops intended for human consumption - one of every three bites of food we eat is available thanks to honey bees. Aside from pollinating much of what we eat, honey from the bees provides numerous vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to our diets.
How to support the honey bee population
Unfortunately, due to climate change and habitat destruction the bee populations worldwide are in decline. This is why we are committed to supporting their welfare and lifecycle in any way we can and we're inviting you to do the same.
As a first step, we’re encouraging our community to join us in supporting the bees by offering you a Gisou Flower Seeds Set as a gift with every order placed during bee season between May 20 - August 21 2021. Planting these bee-friendly flowers with our seed set will mean you have contributed to maintaining the ecosystem and providing bees with their main source of food - nectar.
Over the next couple of months, you can expect to see a virtual tour of the Mirsalehi bee garden, educational beekeeping tips, an exclusive garden kit essential, and much more! From pollination to honey harvest, discover more on everything bee season here.
