How to style curtain bangs

Curtain bangs are a trendy and versatile hairstyle that can transform your look. But with great bangs comes great responsibility - you need to keep them looking fresh and styled. In this blog, we'll show you how to style and maintain your curtain bangs.

How to style curtain bangs with primer

Styling Curtain Bangs

Styling curtain bangs can be tricky, but with the right tools and products, it's easy to achieve a flawless look that’ll last all day. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Wash and condition

When your hair is clean, it's more pliable and easier to manipulate into the style you want. It also holds styles better and longer than dirty hair. Start by washing your hair with Honey Infused Hair Wash. Not only does it gently and effectively cleanse and remove build-up, but it also leaves hair glossy, soft, and smooth, prevents frizz, reduces damage and split ends, and delivers deep hydration without weighing hair down.

Then, follow up with Honey Infused Conditioner enriched with Mirsalehi Honey from the Mirsalehi Bee Garden, formulated to effectively yet gently detangle and condition hair, leaving it hydrated, manageable, and strong. This will help to nourish and hydrate your hair, making it easier to style.

2. Apply primer and heat protectant

Apply a small amount of Gisou Propolis Infused Polishing Primer to your bangs (a little goes a long way). The lightweight styling primer prepares hair for your styling routine. It prevents and diminishes frizz, reduces drying time, and ensures optimal workable hold while using heated styling tools. This will help the bangs to hold for a longer time.

To protect the hair and minimize any damage to your fresh curtain bangs, don’t forget to use Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray. Propolis is produced and used by bees to build strong beehives and it’s our key ingredient to prevent breakage and split ends while enhancing hair texture, volume, and definition.

3. Blow dry your bangs in 3 easy steps

First of all, separate your curtain bangs from the rest of your hair by sectioning it off. Use clips to keep the rest of your hair out of the way. This way it will be easier for you to blow dry your bangs, especially if you are doing it for the first time.

  1. Using a round brush, start by blow drying the roots of your bangs. Place the brush under your bangs and pull the hair forward, away from your face. Use the blow dryer to direct the heat at the roots, lifting up to add volume.
  2. Continue to blow dry your bangs, working your way down from the roots to the ends. Use the round brush to gently pull the hair forward and down, following the curve of your face.
  3. Once your bangs are dry, use the cool setting on your blow dryer to set the style and add shine. This will also help to minimize frizz and static.

Remember to be gentle when blow drying your curtain bangs, as wet hair is more fragile than dry hair. Use a low-heat setting on your blow dryer and a round brush with flexible bristles to avoid pulling or tugging on your hair

4. Hydrate

Finish your look by applying a small amount of Honey Infused Hair Oil to your curtain bangs. Apply 2-3 drops into your palms and rub your hands together until the product is dispersed throughout your palms and fingers. Then, use your fingers in a combing motion to evenly distribute the product from mid-lengths to ends. This will add shine and help to tame any flyaways.

Extra tip: Trim Your Bangs Regularly

Trimming your bangs regularly will help to keep them looking fresh and styled. Aim to trim your bangs every 4-6 weeks to prevent them from getting too long and losing their shape.
